Bernard & Isabel

Bernard & Isabel is a new work for narrator and orchestra, aimed at a family-concert audience. It was first performed at Symphony Hall in Birmingham in December 2011. The piece sets two stories by the legendary children’s author David McKee.

Not Now, Bernard tells the story of a young boy who is ignored by his busy, busy parents – even after a dramatic encounter with a monster in the garden.

Click below to hear four sound clips of the piece, taken from the premiere performance by the British Police Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Tom Hammond and narrated by Danny Mizon.

In Isabel’s Noisy Tummy, a girl’s grumbling stomach gets her into trouble at school – but comes to the rescue on a visit to the zoo.

Sound clips are played by the BPSO, conducted by Tom Hammond and narrated by Danny Mizon.

Bernard & Isabel is published by Wild Woods Music. For more information please email.
