Bernard Hughes’s family concert piece for narrator and orchestra Isabel’s Noisy Tummy is being performed by Woking Symphony Orchestra at the HG Wells Centre in Woking on Saturday 18 January 2014 at 3.30, with the Bernard as Narrator. The piece, by the celebrated children’s author David McKee, tells of the adventures of Isabel and her inappropriately loud tummy – which eventually saves the day. The concert, conducted by Roy Stratford, also features music by Gershwin and Bizet; tickets are £6 from the WSO website. This is the latest collaboration between Bernard Hughes and the WSO, who commissioned ANAPHORA in 2012 and performed Not Now, Bernard in their family concert in 2013.
