New carol broadcast

A new carol by Bernard Hughes, The Linden Tree, is being broadcast on Radio 3 on Wednesday 19th December 2012 at 9.45pm. The performance was recorded recently by the BBC Singers, conducted by Paul Brough. This short and simple carol is a setting of a text by the 19th century clergyman G.R.Woodward, and was composed in summer of 2012.
